~ Four Seasons ~

In 2014 I was asked, by a private client, to restore four beautiful panels depicting Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter.

Unfortunately, the main figure in “Summer” was completely missing. I had to make new piece to match the style of the other three.

Fortunately, the client had done a lot of research beforehand, and had found two similar panels by the same artist, which I was able to use as a guide.  He believed them to have been designed by William Burges, cartooned by Fred Weekes, and made by Gualbert Saunders

Many of the border fragments were also either broken or missing, and also had to be either re-made to match or joined together using epoxy resin.

They are an exquisite set of domestic panels.
