~ St Mungo’s Museum of Religious Life ~

On 28th March 2025, Sue Bradbury and myself led as guided tour of the Stained Glass in St Mungo’s Museum of Religious Art in Glasgow.

Both Sue and I had been responsible for the selection, conservation and installation of the panels in the 1990’s. It was an interesting trip down memory lane for both of us.

Many people don’t realise just how much of a stained glass artist / conservator’s life is bound within the work that they do, so revisiting the windows and discussing them together, was an emotional and cathartic exercise for us both. Memories of people we have since lost, and children since born, were very much in our minds, all woven together with the history of the windows.
