~ Remaking a Victorian Glass Door ~
Home » Domestic Repairs » Remaking a Victorian Glass Door
A huge, Victorian, plate-glass door panel had been smashed and needed to be replaced, like for like.
The broken glass pieces were carefully removed from the wooden mouldings, and painstakingly copied using a variety of plastic and rubber resists. The whole 10mm thick glass plate was then sandblasted in a huge machine to the desired thickness and texture of the original.
An enormous amount of hand drawn and painted detail.
