Collection and Condition Survey

It took two years during the Covid Pandemic to arrange a time when it was mutually suitable for all parties to get together to do a Collections and Condition Survey of the Dunimarle Bequest of 19 exquisite stained glass panels.

Historic Environment Scotland curator Corinna Leenan, Objects Technician Lisa Brown and myself moved, photographed, analysed and safely stored all of the panels over two days to allow me to make a complete record of the panels and their conservation  requirements.

They are mostly 17th Century Swiss and German and all have various complex needs.

Hopefully, on the back of this research, future funding may be available to help with the conservation and  display requirements.

Some of the details in the windows are astonishingly beautiful, and great fun.
